Twas the night before Christmas and all ’round the boat,
Blue-footed boobies were diving and bat rays were afloat.
The whales were all singing their songs in the bay,
And the dolphins were leaping as they went on their way.
The barnacles were scraped off the bottom with care,
In hopes that we wouldn’t have to send up a flare.
We’d battened the hatches and the dinghy was on deck,
The mast light was on and the anchor was set.
But our stockings were stored in a shed far away,
And Santa won’t deliver to a boat in the bay.
But still we will celebrate this season of joy,
With great food and great friends and maybe some new toys.
For Sue wants to paddle on a board while she stands,
To race with the turtles, and yell, life is grand!
Marty is snoring all snuggled in his bed,
With visions of a remote control gyro copter (with video capability from Bloomingdales for $99.95) crammed in his head.
We’ll enjoy a peaceful Christmas on a perfect sunny day,
While our thoughts are with loved ones who are so far away.
We’ll toast to our blessings and share our good cheer,
And we wish you much happiness in the coming new year!!
